This content applies to new Alteryx Editions accounts launched in spring 2025. It doesn’t apply to accounts purchased earlier unless those accounts have migrated to one of the new editions.
Overview
The Professional Edition is great for teams and organizations that perform analytics and reporting. Connect to any data source and perform end-to-end data preparation, analysis, and reporting across your organization.
The Professional Edition provides access to the Alteryx Analytics Cloud (AAC) workspace and many additional products and capabilities. It is available as either a Cloud deployment or a Hybrid deployment (a combination of Cloud and Desktop products).
Professional Edition accounts get access to these products (depending on a Cloud or Hybrid deployment):

User Roles
The Professional Edition supports 2 user roles:
Full User: Go to Full User Capabilities for details.
Basic User: Go to Basic User Capabilities for details.
The user role assigned determines a user’s access.
Admin Roles
The Account Admin can access the Account Admin Console to perform various tasks. For example, they can manage account access, track usage, and inspect audit events. They do not require an entitlement.
The Workspace Admin can access the Workspace Admin Console to perform administrative tasks, manage access, configure the workspace, and adjust security settings. They do not require an entitlement.
The Billing Admin can track ROI with access to account usage and billing details.. A Billing Admin role doesn't require an entitlement.
