Connect to Data
After creating one or more Connections, users with access to the Connection can import data into Alteryx Analytics Cloud to develop workflows in Designer Cloud. When you import data, it effectively creates a reference to the source data, leaving the source data untouched. When required for use, a small sample of source data is read into the application.
Sign in to your AAC workspace. Refer to the Logging in to your Alteryx Analytics Cloud Workspace section for help.
Go to the Data page.
Select Upload Data.
Select Choose files.
Select the file on your computer that you want to upload.
Review the settings and sample that display on the right side of the screen.
Optional: Modify the name of the Dataset or add a description of the Dataset in this section.
Select Continue to complete the upload and import the data.
Optional: Browse to the file on your computer and drag it to the Upload window.
Select the Connection to import data from on the left side of the screen.
In the Choose a file or folder section, browse to the file you want to import.
Select the plus icon to the left of the file.
Review the settings and sample that display on the right side of the screen.
Optional: Modify the name of the Dataset or add a description of the Dataset in this section.
Select Continue to complete the import of the Dataset.
