A Control Parameter is the input for each iteration of a Batch Macro. The Control Parameter's input appears as an upside-down question mark inside the input icon on the macro tool icon. For each record that comes into the Control Parameter input, the entire macro is reconfigured and run from beginning to end.
The Control Parameter must have an Action tool associated with it, like Update Value, Update Input, or Update Output Actions.

Configure the Tool
Enter a label for the Control Parameter: Use this field to provide a label for the Control Parameter. When used in a workflow, the macro displays a question to prompt the end-user to select the required column for the macro to use.
