Workspace Settings
This section provides information and recommendations for some of the more common Workspace configuration settings. The following requires that your account has Workspace Admin privileges. To get started with applying the Workspace configuration settings:
Sign in and go to the Workspace admin console. For more information, refer to Accessing the Workspace Admin Console.
Go to the Settings page to view and edit the Workspace settings.
For additional information on settings not covered in the following sections, refer to the Workspace Settings help page.
On the rightmost side of the Settings screen, select Sharing to review the settings
Dataset Sharing:
To restrict users from sharing imported datasets, select Disabled.
To enable users to share imported datasets, select Enabled. The default is Enabled.
Cloud Workflow Sharing:
To restrict users from sharing Designer Cloud Workflows, set it to Disabled.
To enable users to share Designer Cloud Workflows, set it to Enabled or Default (Enabled).

Go to Workspace Admin > Settings. On the right side of the Settings page, select Storage. Adjust the Storage configuration based on whether S3 Private Data Storage is enabled or not...
If you configured Private Data Storage in the Workspace Admin Tasks > Configure Private Data Storage section, select these options:
Default Storage Environment: {Bucket Type} Private Data Storage
Alteryx Data Storage: Disabled. Leaving Alteryx Data Storage enabled allows users to read and write files to the Alteryx-owned and managed workspace storage (S3).
(AWS Private Data Storage only) S3 Private Data Storage: Enabled or Default (Enabled)
If you did not configure Private Data Storage in the Workspace Admin Tasks > Configure Private Data Storage section, select:
Default Storage Environment: ADS or Default (ADS)
Alteryx Data Storage: Enabled or Default (Enabled)
Storage Directories
To prevent users from changing the location of results files and file uploads within Workspace storage, set it to Disabled.
To allow users to change the location of results files and file uploads within Workspace storage, set it to Enabled or Default (Enabled).
Hide the underlying file system from users
To prevent users from browsing workspace storage, set it to Enabled.
To allow users to browse workspace storage, set it to Disabled or Default (Disabled).

To review the connectivity settings, select Connectivity.
Go to Connection credential sharing:
To restrict users from sharing connection credentials, set it to Disabled.
To enable users to share connection credentials, set it to Enabled or Default (Enabled).
