What do I need to do to migrate to Alteryx One licensing? If you are an existing customer who recently renewed and transitioned to Alteryx One, the primary admin on your account contract will kick off the setup process. This article describes critical steps required for admins and users.
Required Admin Actions
Receive your order confirmation email and accept the Account Administration invitation.
Then create your user account. Or sign in to your existing Alteryx One account.
Accept the EULA.
The Account Admin Console opens.
To invite users in bulk from past Flexera contracts, first, download the user email list from the old licensing portal: https://us1.alteryxcloud.com/license-portal/. This might take a few minutes if you have hundreds of activated machines.
Open the file. Take the email column, and convert it to a comma-separated list of emails. You can do this using ChatGPT or your AI tool of choice.
Paste the email list into the Invite Users modal in the Workspace Admin console. From the home page, select Go to Admin Portal > Users > + Invite.
Assign users the Admin, Full, or Basic User role to give them download access. Once they have a role that allows downloads, they can visit the Alteryx One platform landing page to download Designer. We support versions 2023.1 and later.
Nota
Alteryx One works best on versions 2025.1 and later. If you and your team are ready to upgrade to 2025.1, download it from Alteryx One. Once downloaded, run the installer. Then, activate online using Alteryx One.
Required User Actions
Accept the email invitation to Alteryx One Platform. Then, set up a new user account or sign in to your Alteryx One account.
Re-activate Designer Desktop on versions 2024.2...
Go to the Alteryx One landing page.
Select Activate on the Designer Desktop tile to find your license key. The Activate Designer Desktop window opens. It lists available desktop product keys assigned to you.
Find the product you want to activate, and select the copy icon. Often, the only available product will be Designer Desktop. Use that key to activate Designer Desktop in Step 4 below.
Open Designer Desktop. Go to Options > Manage Licenses.
When the Manage Licenses window opens, use the license key option. You can paste the license key from Step 3 into the License Keys field.

Sign in to Alteryx One Platform.
On the home page, select Download on the Designer Desktop tile. The Product Downloads page opens. This page displays all downloads that are available to you.
From the left side, select Designer Desktop.
Select Version and Install Type from the dropdowns. Versions 2023.1 and later are supported.
Select Download.
Once the download completes, double-click the installation file to open it and start the installation process.
Follow the licensing steps above when installation is complete.
