OAuth 2.0 for Pinterest
This section describes the steps to configure Alteryx Analytics Cloud (AAC) to integrate with your Pinterest deployment using OAuth 2.0 to authenticate.
Create OAuth 2.0 Client App in Pinterest
Steps:
Register with Pinterest and obtain an account.
Navigate to My Apps > Connect app.
In the Connect app screen, enter the following details:
App icon: Icon of the app you want to create.
App name: Name of the app you want to create.
Companyname: Specify the company name.
Company website or app link: Specify the company website.
Link to Privacy Policy: The company privacy policy URL.
App Purpose: Specify the purpose to create the app.
Developer purpose: The preferred developer purpose.
use cases: Select all use cases for the app.
audience: The preferred audience for the app.
Click Submit. Pinterest takes a while to approve the trial access. After the trial access in granted, upgrade to standard access.
Redirect URIs: Specify the URL in the following format:
https://<Login_URL>/oauth2/callback
API scopes: The following scopes are required:
ads:read boards:read boards:read_secret boards:write pins:read pins:read_secret pins:write pins:write_secret user_accounts:read catalogs:read catalogs:write
To create an app, click Add.
Create OAuth 2.0 Client for Pinterest
In AACAAC, the OAuth 2.0 client for Pinterest is created for you.
Create Pinterest Connection
After you have created the OAuth 2.0 client, you can create a connection to your Pinterest data.
