Starter Edition
Important
This content applies to new Alteryx One Editions launched in spring 2025. It doesn’t apply to accounts purchased earlier unless those accounts have migrated to one of the new editions.
The Starter Edition is great for small teams that need to perform basic business analytics—prepare and analyze data with code-free software on flat files. The Starter Edition provides users access to an Alteryx One Platform Workspace and a limited set of tools and data connections via Designer Cloud.
Starter Edition Capabilities
Basic Connectivity
Users on the Starter Edition can connect to several data sources and file types.
The Starter Edition provides connectivity via these file connectors:

Sharing and Collaboration
Users on the Starter Edition can share workflows with other users in the account and view workflows shared with them.
Basic Prep and Blend Tools
Starter Edition users can create workflows in Designer Cloud using basic prep and blend tools from the Standard Tool Palette. This table reviews the basic prep and blend tools available via the Starter Edition of Designer Cloud.
The Starter Edition provides access to Designer Cloud only. The Professional and Enterprise Editions include options for both Designer Cloud and Designer Desktop.

Starter Edition Roles
Starter Edition accounts are limited to 10 users. The Starter Edition comes with the Full User role and Workspace Admin.
Full User Role
Users on Starter Edition can access Designer Cloud and the associated capabilities.
Workspace Admin
The Starter Edition comes with a Workspace Admin role. A Workspace Admin can access the Workspace Admin Console to perform administrative tasks, manage access, configure the workspace, and adjust security settings. They do not require an entitlement.
Workspace Admin Privileges
A privilege is an access level for a type of object. A role may have one or more privileges assigned to it.
These are the privileges assigned to the Workspace Admin in Starter Edition.
