NetSuite Connections

NetSuite is the leading integrated cloud business software suite, including business accounting, ERP, CRM, and e-commerce software.

Tipp

This connection is in early preview. It is read-only and available only in SaaS product editions. For more information on early previews, go to Early Preview Connection Types.

Limitations and Requirements

Anmerkung

During normal selection or import of an entire table, you may encounter an error indicating a problem with a specific column. Since some tables require filtering based on a particular column, data from them can only be ingested using custom SQL statements. In this case, the problematic column can be used as a filter in the WHERE clause of a custom SQL statement to ingest the table.

  • For more information, please consult the CData driver documentation for the specific table.

  • For more information on using custom SQL, go to Create Dataset with SQL.

Anmerkung

For filtering date columns, this connection type supports a set of literal functions on dates. You can use these to reduce the volume of data extracted from the database using a custom SQL query. For more information, see the pg_dateliteralfunctions.htm page in the driver documentation for this connection type.

  • SuiteQL data model is supported. For more information, go to https://cdn.cdata.com/help/DNJ/jdbc/pg_suiteqlmodel.htm.

  • To set up OAuth 2.0 authentication, you have to create an OAuth 2.0 client in NetSuite and register the created OAuth 2.0 client in Alteryx Analytics Cloud (AAC). For more information on how to configure Alteryx Analytics Cloud (AAC) to integrate with your NetSuite deployment using OAuth 2.0, go to OAuth 2.0 for NetSuite.

You cannot create OAuth 2.0 connections via API.

  • For token-based authentication, you have to create roles and tokens. For more information on configuring AAC to integrate with your NetSuite deployment using token-based authentication, refer to OAuth 2.0 for NetSuite - Token-based Authentication for NetSuite.

  • Due to permissions limitations in the NetSuite account, you may not be able to import some tables.

  • In Connect String Options, include timeout=0;RowScanDepth=0; to ensure complete table fields are available from the source table in to the dataset.

Create Connection

via AACAAC

When you create the connection, review these properties and specify them accordingly:

Connection Property

Description

Account ID

The Account ID associated with NetSuite. For example, 5109350-sb1.

Anmerkung

Each NetSuite account is given an Account ID. You can find it in the NetSuite URL after you sign in to the account.

<Account ID>

Connect String Options

This default value sets the connection timeout in seconds:

Timeout=0;

Setting this value to 0 disables timeouts.

Credential Type

The type of authentication to use when connecting to NetsuiteThe following options are available:

  • OAuth 2.0 client

    The client is displayed.

    Anmerkung

After you have specified the connection to use OAuth 2.0, select Authenticate to validate the connection with the target datastore. If you have modified the connection, select Re-authenticate to validate the new connection definition. You must re-authenticate if you receive an expired code message. This step is required. For more information, go to Enable OAuth 2.0 Authentication.

    Anmerkung

As NetSuite is a tenant-based system, you must create and register a NetSuite OAuth 2.0 client in AACAAC. For more information, go to OAuth 2.0 for NetSuite.

  • Token-based Authentication

For token-based authentication, you must create roles and tokens. For more information on configuring AACAAC to integrate with your NetSuite deployment using token-based authentication, refer to the Token-based Authentication for NetSuite.

For more information on how to configure Alteryx Analytics Cloud (AAC) to integrate with your NetSuite deployment using OAuth 2.0 and token-based authentication, go to OAuth 2.0 for NetSuite.
