Plan View for Approval Tasks

During the execution of your plan, you can create an Approval task that controls whether subsequent tasks are executed. You can assign one or more users to approve or deny the continuation of the workflow, ensuring that downstream tasks run only when explicitly authorized. This task is particularly useful in environments requiring process governance, such as financial services, where users may need to review and approve steps before the plan proceeds.

Create Task

  1. Drag and drop the Approval task from the left pane to the Plan canvas.

  2. In the Configuration menu on the right side:

    • Enter approver(s).

    • Set Time-out Duration – The number of hours the task will wait for approval. If the timeout is reached before approval is given, the task will fail.

    • Set approval Message – Provide a custom message to give approvers context for the Approve or Deny decision.

  3. Select Run to run your workflow.

When the approval conditions are met, the Approval task is considered successful. Downstream tasks connected will proceed.
