Use these instructions to edit the user or machine serial number via the Partner Data License Manager.
Edit User or Machine Serial Number
Use the Partner Data License Manager window to manage or edit the user or machine serial number.
Users with administrator privileges can install licenses and modify the serial number for all users on the machine. Licenses installed by a user without administrator privileges are available only to that user.
The machine serial number displays the serial number specified at the time of installation. The serial number is directly tied to the installed license file. If the serial number in the license file doesn't match the serial number specified here, all Alteryx Designer tools are locked. If the authenticated user does not have administrator privileges, the user serial number displays instead of the machine serial number.
To edit the machine serial number or user serial number...
In Designer, go to Options > Manage Licenses.
Select the gear icon in the Manage Licenses window and select View Partner Data License Manager.
In the Partner Data License Manager window, select Edit to view Edit Serial Number.
Edit the serial number or delete it to use the machine serial number.
Select OK.
Select Close.
